It all started with an affirmation…

I deserve to be seen and heard.

When I had my eldest daughter Tatiyana at 16, I remember people saying “it ain’t ‘bout you anymore. It’s about that baby.” 11 years later, I know my well-being, needs, and desires being met are key factors in being a loving, and kind mother. Coming into my womanhood I learned the way to become a better mother to my children and myself was through healing. During my healing journey I have increased my self-awareness and my right to just be. I have learned how important self-preservation is; for my peace and happiness as well as my children’s.

I am comfortable asserting my needs for joy, peace and happiness. I have learned that my pleasures do no make me selfish but in fact, human. I give myself the thickest love and I want the same for all Millennial Black mothers, because the truth is: It is ALL about us. And we can make sure of that by sharing what we need and healing inward + outward so our children can really know us and we can know ourselves.

I created this space for me and you, sis. Welcome. Get comfy. Take a breath. And when you’re ready to tell your story:

Your new community will be right here to elevate and celebrate you.
